We are fortunate to have three private lakes in our community, and it’s our shared responsibility to preserve their beauty, safety, and recreational value. Please review and follow the rules below to ensure everyone can enjoy our lakes for years to come.

๐Ÿ”’ Private Lakes โ€” Residents & Guests Only

  • Our lakes are private and are for the exclusive use of lot owners and their guests.
  • Lot owners and their guests must carry a valid fishing card when using the lakes.
  • A maximum of 2 adult guests may fish per card without the lot owner present.
  • Lot owners are fully responsible for the actions of their guests.

๐ŸŸ Fishing Rules

  • Trot lines and jug fishing are prohibited.
  • Follow all Mississippi state fishing regulations in addition to CBLMA rules.
  • Grass carp are not to be caught or kept. These fish are stocked solely for weed control and are not intended for sport or consumption.
  • Crappie: Please keep all crappie caught. This helps prevent overpopulation, which can affect water quality and other species.
  • Bass: You are welcome to keep bass under 15 inches in length. Practice catch and release whenever possible with larger fish to support a healthy bass population. ecosystem.

๐Ÿšค Boat Rules

  • All boats regardless of size or type must be visibly marked with: “CB” followed by the ownerโ€™s lot number (Example: CB-1234).
    • If your boat stays on the lake, this would be best permanently stickered or stencilled onto the boat.
    • All guests must also have their boats clearly marked with โ€œCBโ€ and the lot number of the guest card they are using. This can be as simple as the the numbers clearly and largely written on a piece of cardboard taped to the back of a seat.
  • Motor Regulations:
    • Short shaft motors up to 6 HP are permitted on most boats.
    • Pontoon boats may use long shaft motors up to 9.9 HP.
    • No larger motors are allowed to be used on any lake.
  • Please ensure all boats are properly secured to docks or property when not in use or out of the water.
  • Operate boats responsibly. Be courteous, maintain low speeds, and avoid creating wakes near shorelines to avoid erosion.

๐ŸŒฟ Lake Stewardship & Safety

  • Clean boats and gear before and after use to help prevent the spread of invasive aquatic weeds like Southern Naiad.
  • Take your trash with you. Please help us keep the lakes clean for everyone by packing out all bait containers, fishing line, and litter.

๐Ÿ‘ฎ Resident Authority & Enforcement

  • All lakes are clearly marked as private property.
  • Lot owners have the right to ask anyone fishing to show their valid fishing card.
  • If a person cannot produce a card, lot owners have the authority to ask them to leave.
  • If someone refuses to leave, this constitutes trespassing on private property, and the Sheriffโ€™s Office may be contacted to enforce removal.

๐Ÿ“ Please remain courteous and calm in these situations. Your right to protect community property is supported by local law.

โœ… By using the lakes, all residents and guests agree to abide by these rules. Thank you for helping protect one of our communityโ€™s most valuable natural resources!
